CIS Memory Tree

It’s officially 2020, and Corporate Interior Systems turns 35! To celebrate this milestone, members of the CIS team got together and created a Memory Tree for our President & CEO, Lisa K. Johnson. The tree is filled will ornaments that hold images of the 35 years of CIS. The idea came from Lisa’s love for her “family”, says Senior Account Manager, Melissa Ailts, who originally thought of the idea:

“Lisa is so proud of the “family” that she has created since starting the company.  She is also a major Christmas fan and loves anything and everything that relates to Christmas, especially family.  She is always giving back to us and I felt that we could celebrate her with memories of the “family” she has built.”

Melissa rounded up other CIS employees and came up with a plan to make it happen! The Memory Tree was a special project for many CIS employees who have been apart of the CIS family, such as Project Coordinator, Lisa Lopez:

“The memory tree was a special project for me having been involved with CIS for the better part of 18 years, having been hired just out of college in 1989 and taking time away to raise our daughter.  My husband Tom was Lisa’s first employee and was with CIS for 11 ½ years.  Lisa was in touch throughout Tom’s illness which meant the world to us.  There are a great deal of memories in those years as well as new memories after his passing, and I have been back for almost 10 years now.  Lisa and CIS have been part of my life for more than half of my life.  CIS isn’t just a place to work for me.  It’s like family with some of us being here for a very long time.  Lisa has been very good to me and my family.  So, being in business for 35 years isn’t solely about the business, but a relationship to your employees.  That goes a long way!  There are a lot of great memories on that tree – 35 years worth of good memories and fun times with a growing number!”
