Here at CIS we are very proud of the amazing team members that we get to work with. One of the most inspiring and hardworking people we have on our team is Project Manager, Pam Harrell, who has been at CIS for 29 years. Pam has the ability to make your project run like a dream! The marketing team recently sat down with her to learn more about how she became the rockstar she is today.

How many positions have you had at CIS? What are they? Which did you like the best?

  1. Receptionist
  2. Customer Service
  3. Design
  4. Design Manager
  5. Project Manager- this is my favorite so far

What’s your favorite thing about working at CIS?

  1. Knowing that I work for a stable company with a strong leader and knowing how much Lisa truly cares about her employees. Lisa always makes sure we all have the tools and skills we need to continue to make our company successful and #1!
  2. The challenges of my everyday schedule, no day is ever exactly the same.

What do you find most challenging about your job?

Juggling my schedule/tasks and doing my very best to get everything turned around quickly and thoroughly.

What’s the strangest job you’ve ever had, at CIS or outside of CIS?

It would have to be, outside CIS.

I worked as a Veterinary Technician during HS and was trained directly by the head Veterinarian and owner of the Veterinarian hospital. Had true “hands-on” experience where I performed the actual surgeries and other tasks that most veterinarian techs wouldn’t be allowed to do….neutering cats, docking tails on puppies, drawing blood, running lab test, cleaning ears, dental cleaning, etc. These tasks aren’t allowed at a technician level, these days, so I was very thankful to learn these tasks. Definitely made the job interesting, every day!

What’s your favorite thing to do outside of work?

I’ve always enjoyed baking, even as a small child!  I’d say, baking all sorts of goodies. Here lately I really enjoy making decorative sugar cookies. Love being outdoors, hiking and spending time with my family and pets.

What advice would you have for future CIS employees?

Listen and learn everything you possibly can from “all CIS employees”, ask questions! All of us oldies and newbies have good advice to offer.

Do you have an office nickname?  If so, what?

Well, the only few that I’m aware of is…. “Ham”, Noel and Reynel have nicknamed me that, I also get an occasional “Pumpkin” from Jenni and Lindsay, LOL!

If someone made a movie about your life, what actress would you want to play you?

Dianne Keaton.  Mainly because she’s my favorite actress. Just love her personality!

Thank you, Pam, for all that you do!
